During winter 2019 I built myself a proper road bike. In this article I go through of designing, making and applying custom wheel-decals.
In the summer of 2018, I built a VR-based flight simulator. The first version was just to just play with a computer with the yoke mounted to the desk, but I soon realized virtual reality would certainly add a whole layer of realism that would help train hand-eye coordination of flying a plane.
As a result I continued the project and added even more realism!

I moved to a smaller apartment and designed and built a large wooden twin storage bed with a lot of under bed storage because usually, a bed just takes a lot of space that is not too useful for much else than laying in a coma and hallucinating vividly.
Finland is known for its alcoholism. I decided to celebrate that fact by making traditional Finnish drink "Vappukilju", translating roughly as "strong home-made brew for first of May".
Kilju is illegal to make here but adding some sort of fruit makes it technically wine and okay. So, with a little help from my friend, we made some "cranberry wine" with a little twist.

LiveLight is an open source ambient lighting solution for PC. System consists of the controller, LED-strips and software called Ambibox.
I upgraded the mechanical sensor of my DIY IKEA SmartDesk to ultrasonic rangefinder to set it's height from the floor automatically which greatly improved its usability!
I removed the original magnetic limit-switch and replaced it with ultrasonic PING-sensor that could measure the actual height from the floor.
